My Piece of Heaven in Dubai

Who is loving the Ripe Foodie weekends? I definitely am!

Ripe, UAE’s pioneering provider of local, seasonal, organic and farm-fresh produce as well as amazing crafts from local artists hosts a fab food & craft market every weekend in various parks across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi! This summer they also plan to have a special section at Dubai’s time square center every Saturday until October.

I call it my little piece of heaven in the UAE!

I have come to realize that yes, Dubai has it all. It brings together all nationalities and cultures into one city. It is also a one-stop shop for all kinds of activities, grouped in one beautiful city.

Today, I will be talking about my favorite activity of all: spending long hours in parks, sampling good food for all parts of the world while browsing beautiful handmade products.

I have been going to the Ripe market for over a year now and I have to say I am totally in love with the concept.

Whether you are looking for creative crafts, striking antiques or beautiful designs, you will find it there! I personally love the sunglasses by Melissah Russo, better known as Lady Mauve, an Australian designer based in Dubai.

And if you are looking for fresh, delicious and mouthwatering vegetables and fruits they have them all as well!

But if you are a foodie like me, just head to Kaak al Manara for some yummy Lebanese offerings, and you will feel like you are hanging out in the middle of the Beirut waterfront!

Ripe Market is for me a chance to walk among colorful trees, while enjoying the smell of delicious and fresh food. Few minutes later, you will totally forget that you are actually in the middle of the desert!

Our love for Dubai lies in all those small details. Be it the ripe market, or the countless free activities that can be found on its beaches and parks. This city never fails to mesmerize us and make us feel like we are a part of its every achievement.

This is Dubai. A city that reflects its authentic Emirati roots yet never fails to capture us with its cosmopolitan, innovative and vibrant feel.
