How I got ready before the big day!

Every girl’s fairytale starts with a ring and a proposal!

And for the Big Day, we, girls, want to look like a princess out of an enchanted book, an image of perfection!

Post your walk down the aisle, months of preparations, pampering, and body detoxing and rejuvenation will help you at pulling off your favorite look and feel on your dream day!

Today, I will walk you through all the preps I did leading to my wedding day!

But after all this, the one thing you should always bear in mind: “Don’t over-stress yourself!  Don’t overwhelm yourself, and enjoy every moment! you only get a Big Day once!”

  • Teeth whitening

Drs. Nicolas and Asp and his amazing professional team will guide you throughout the process in order to achieve the smile you crave with the whitening degree that is suitable for you.

After just two sessions that include cleaning and polishing followed by Zoom whitening, you will feel all the difference in the world! Mainly, you will start smiling more, ear to ear!

  • Healthy eating

Because we all know, abs are created in kitchen, Right Bite was the way to go!

This time, I chose to follow a low-carb meal plan and it was, to my surprise, super delicious! Staying away from sugar, lots of sodium and processed foods is essential before d-day. Saturated sugars, high mineral foods and drinks, & junk meals can only lead to unwanted weight, constant exhaustion, and unnecessary cravings and binging. Right Bite serves food suitable for all health and fitness goals to your doorstep!

Exercise

It is well known that working out will help tighten and firm your body. But what is more important is that when you work out, your body produces a hormone called endorphins. Endorphins are responsible to boost your happy mode! Happy women don’t become BRIDEZILLAS!  A good workout also boosts energy unlike what most people think! Working out to your body tempo, goal, and metabolic type will only enhance your figure and improve your feminine silhouette. I was lucky to have a friend who is also a personal trainer! Despite the mood swings, the constant pressure of wanting the details of my D-day to be up to perfection, I found solace in the gym, away from the noise and the wedding planners! I worked out all summer and achieved most of the goals I set up for myself! For this, I have @NadineJ_pt to thank!

  • Hollywood facial

One of my favorite procedures for immediate glow!

It helped reduce the appearance of undesirable aging lines, dark spots, and unevenness in the color tone of my skin.  It is the equivalent of a mild chemical peel with zero downtime. It kills the bacteria in the pores allowing the pores to shrink thus giving you firmer, tighter skin. It boosts your skin’s health, helping it to look clearer and brighter.

This was done twice at Junqueira Medical Clinic and I simply loved every moment of it! Specially the results!

  • Pamper your Hair

Great bridal locks require a little love and devotion. Start repairing from the inside out. Get a professional hair mask weekly before the big day in order to keep that shine. I visited Joe Motran on a weekly basis to get those amazing oil masks and it totally worked. Moreover, a diet filled with Vitamin B helps bring out my hair’s natural shine. Foods like fish, nuts, and eggs gave me a good head start. It is funny how little we think food can do to our overall wellbeing! Starting from the hair all the way down to our toe nails…

Take care of your body

Because your body is the only place you have stay in for the rest of your life, the only choice you got is to take great care of this beautiful temple!

Exfoliation is the name of the game! If you are wondering why, don’t wander too much! Exfoliating makes the skin grow softer and more toned. I used an exfoliator each day, whether in the form of a loofah or a body scrub. Moreover, I added to my growing list of pampering treatments, the Vela Shape another outstanding treatment from Junqueira Medical Clinic.

Hey bride-to-be! It’s your turn now!
